Our foundation mare, which we purchased in 2003, is a daughter of Zans Rawhide, a Zan Parr Bar son that Elmore Stout purchased as a weanling from Carol Rose. She is out of a daughter of Bold Episode, who was a Dash for Cash son. She also has many other great Quarter Horse racehorses in her pedigree. Click
here to see her extended pedigree. We have kept two babies out of this mare because of her outstanding personality, which she passes on to her offspring. We pulled her out of the pasture in the summer of '08 (after sitting for 2 years), and my 8-year-old daughter showed her in walk-trot. Although she is not a Western Pleasure type horse, they took first. I showed her in poles just for fun, and we placed third out of about 12 horses. She loves to run, but she has a great handle on her; anyone can ride her. We have sold her last two colts (one went to Georgia), and both buyers are happy. She is bred back to our stallion for a 2009 baby.
